Don Cornelius   
 "Soul Train" creator Don Cornelius, shown here on the set of the show in the '70s, died from a gunshot wound on Wednesday. He was 75. He was known for the catch phrase, "And as always in parting, we wish you love, peace and soul." Here's a look at Cornelius through the years.In Memoriam:

Once again, we had another successful weekend back on our home turf starting at The Bayou Cafe on Friday night. We made a LOT of new friends and it was really great to feel the love and hear all the nice words and positive feedback from all in attendance (except the joker from some other band who thought we weren't loud enough......gotta love those amateurs, LOL!!). Once again we played till past closing and everyone had a great time. On Saturday we were off to Kelly's Imperial in Amsterdam and once again we had a great turnout as the band kept the crowd high-stepping all night long, including our little dancing "GIANTS" Mascot, courtesy of Steve. Oh yeah, and here's a BIG Vibratone shout-out and "Thank You" to Asher for his inimitable presence and valued assistance. Time passages.....
We'll be attending and hosting some Super Bowl Parties this weekend, and we'll drop in on some friends' bands this weekend to cheer 'em on! Stay cool, get VIBE and GO Giants!!

We KNOW what you want, and we take great pride in our job, which is to keep YOU entertained and coming back for more.
